Process

One part research. One part experiment. One part conversation. One part play.

Studio life has always been at the very core of the architectural practice.  What we’ve done is taken the rigid concept of the studio, and made it significantly more malleable.  Our process is this.  We find a concept – water, war, environment, pop culture, poverty, etc. – and we turn in on ourselves for varying amounts of time to research and converse about the concept, and then we start to invite people in to play.  How do we take this concept and expose it?  How do we create a meaningful conversation that can be translated into tangible change?  What is the best way to talk about it? Is it with words? With objects? With visuals?

Our studio is a place of conversation, of experimentation, and a cauldron of simmering ideas that we have not yet found the right way to explore.  Visit our “incubating” section of our portfolio to explore more of what we’re thinking about.
